Submission for the Godot XR Community Game Jam V on the theme "Rewind".
"You're stuck in space in a bizarre structure, next to you an old animal in a cage, in your hands the power of reversing time of things you point to..."
I implemented the theme with the mechanic of "rewinding" back and forth the age of objects in the environment to solve puzzle.
When controlling the dog, you need to physically walk with your paws on the floor. At the end, the dog is no longer controllable, you need to pick him up end exit with him.
This is my first game jam ever, I'm eager to hear your feedbacks !
I managed to finished the game in about 5 minutes, curious to know how long you'll take.
Here are the steps to complete the game:
- Age the cage to break it
- Rejuvinate the dog and take control of him(with thumbstick click)
- Go through the hole
- Age the dog so he can jump (trigger button)
- Climb and jump toward the pad to open the door, take the battery too (grip button)
- Bring the battery to the player character
- Take control of the character and grab the battery
- Put the battery in the electric panel and rejuvinate it to recharge
- Take the key part in the closet and the other key part on the table and place them on the repairing device
- Age them to fix the key
- Take the key and open the door that bring outside
- Control the dog to go through the tight opening and jump toward the pad and grab the seed
- With the player character take the seed and put it in the bed plant
- Age the plant to grow it faster
- Travel toward the exit
- Go back to pick up the dog
- Exit
- Back to step 1 😉⏳
